Any subliminal, be it visual, olfactory, tactile, auditory or what have you, will influence the mind if it is presented correctly, with either enough repetition or enough emotional impact, when that impact is presented and directed correctly.
Visual subliminals can work, if you get enough repetitions at the right speed and the right phrasing is used. They are not as effective as auditory subs, simply because they can both be de-subliminalized and because you cannot get as complex with wording or as much exposure.
A subliminal that is created correctly through years of experience, research, development and testing of the methods and technologies in use (such as IML programs represent) is always going to be much more effective and beneficial. Simply throwing some affirmations or statements together without any understanding about how the subconscious mind works and flashing them on a screen isn’t going to be anywhere near as effective, and in fact is more likely to be dangerous as you can end up with significant misunderstandings between what the conscious mind and the subconscious mind may conclude that the same statement means.
Furthermore, the information density possible with audio subliminals from IML is many, many times greater than that of any visual subliminal and therefore the effects will be faster, more obvious and longer lasting.
